How do I know which connections can I book via Rodonorte?
You can find all our bookable connections in our booking engine in the www.rodonorte.pt. You can find the current network on our website under Network map.
If you are traveling in a group, you also have the option of renting an entire bus including driver for yourselves withRodonorte Rental.Our bus will pick you up at your doorstep and follow your individual travel itinerary. Just go to our rent-a-bus form , enter your travel itinerary, and date later we will contact you.

How long before my trip can I make my reservation?
Our connections can be booked approximately 4 weeks before the date of departure on our internet site. We are hard at work everyday expanding our network route and making our existing lines even better. There are three things that are near and dear to us: punctuality, attractive departure times and the best transfer connections. We normally do not sell tickets more than one month in advance so that we are able to implement feedback and improvements as quickly as possible.

Where can I find the Rodonorte bus stops?
The easiest way is to look for your stop directly on our site. Select your station, click on the arrow in the upper right and navigation will start. You will find a list of our departure locations. Just click on a particular city and you will receive the address of the bus stop(s) as well as a map. Maps of the corresponding bus stops are also included on your booking confirmation.

Where can I buy tickets for travel in the Rodonorte-Transportes Portugueses, S.A.?
The easiest way is to book your trip directly with our site on your smartphone or Computer.Your ticket is then simply saved in your email, and you can show it on your cell phone when you board. Furthermore, you can be sure that you will the receive best rates, just like when booking on site.This also means you always get the best price. You simply receive your booking confirmation via email (please also look in your spam folder).
You can also book your trips at our agencies or directly with the bus driver. Please note that on the bus, you will pay the normal price (for adults and children) and will only be able to purchase a ticket if there are free spaces available. Special and reduced prices are no longer available when purchasing on the bus, unfortunately.The receipt for cash payments at the bus also serves as the ticket/booking confirmation.

How can I make payment in online ticket office?
On our site you can make the payment through various methods: ATM payment, credit card, debit card, and Paypal Account account Meo Wallet.

Problems with booking online – what
should I do?
If you are experiencing problems with booking online, the problems are most likely due to your internet browser. You have the following options to solve the problem:
Use a different browser.
Empty your cache and delete your cookies and then restart your browser and try again.
Update your browser. Can I change, rebook or cancel my booking
If you bought your ticket via our website, and want to change, rebook and cancel you should fill this form.
If you bought your ticket in our ticket outlets, you can change, rebook and cancel directly in ours ticket offices.

Can I charter my own bus?
Yes, you can. Just go to www.rodonorte.pt/en/rent-a-bus/ , enter your travel itinerary, and date later we will contact you.

Can I buy a round trip ticket without reserving the return?
YES, if you make a purchase at one of our agencies is possible to buy a round trip ticket without reserving the return.
If you make a purchase through our site, you cannot schedule a round trip without reserving the return.

On the bus

Do I need a ticket to get onto the bus?
To board a bus, you need a printed or electronic copy of your booking confirmation.
You will receive the booking confirmation at the end of the booking process in printable form as well as per email (please look in your spam folder).If a ticket is bought from the bus driver, the receipt also serves as the ticket/booking confirmation.

How many items of baggage can I take on board?
You may take one carry-on and two travel baggage item with you on your trip. Please label your baggage with your name and address.
Carry-on luggage is one piece of luggage that does not exceed the measurements of 42 x 30 x 18cm and a maximum weight of 7kg, all valuables should be carried as hand luggage.

I may be slightly late. Will the bus waitfor me?
Our buses travel on scheduled routes and are therefore tied to a timetable. Therefore it is unfortunately not possible for the bus driver to wait for passengers that are late. Therefore we ask that you give yourself plenty of time and arrive at your bus stop at least 15 minutes before your departure time.

Can I board the bus later or get offearlier?
Unfortunately it is not possible to board or leave the bus at a different location than the one that you have booked.

Are there any breaks, such as smoking breaks?
In the trips with travel time superior to 3 hours, the bus will stop in the adequate locations and intervals to the trip.

What about safety on thebus?
On long distance buses, similar to passenger cars, there are seatbelts. Every seat is fitted with a seatbelt and must be fastened for the duration of your journey.
Baggage, additional baggage, and bulky baggage will be transported in the baggage compartment of the bus. Your bus driver will ensure efficient and safe loading of the baggage. You should stow your hand luggage safely in the compartments above the seats.
Your safety is our first priority. All of our drivers are specialized in passenger transportation and receive regular training. Our drivers must, without exception, strictly comply with the legally required rest periods and driving times. Therefore it may be the case that two drivers on our board for our longer journeys or there are scheduled breaks. If there are delays in the travel schedule unplanned interim breaks may be required, in exceptional cases. We thank you for your understanding.
